Vintage Bride………

July 30, 2008

WOW…I’ve been MIA :-)  Sorry folks…the blog had to be last on my LONG list of TA DOs ;-)  I just have so many sessions to post it’s INSANE!!!!!  They’re coming my friends…I promise!!!!!

I had this magnificent bridal session the other night.  This is my first time having a bride wear a bird cage veil.  These are SOOOOO cool.  They are definitely my fave…they’re funky & just something totally different.  This veil totally fit her personality ;-)

I can’t wait to shoot her wedding in August in Nevada!  We are going to have a BLAST & I’m totally excited about the different locations I’ll be shooting in :-)
This is their engagement session if ya wanna have a peek.

Feel free to leave a comment if you have questions or simply to tell the bride she’s GORGEOUS!!!!

You can click on any image to enlarge….this image is a must to see large…it’ll be going on my website.  I love her personality shots here….though they weren’t even planned.  This was the beginning of the session & she had an audience so she was a little embarassed :-)

The reason for this shot…..well we were strolling along chit chatting & her friends say…BEN’S COOKIES…I was confused…ok…we need to have some cookies…haha…NOPE….her fiance’s name is BEN & he calls her COOKIE!!!!  OHHHH…NOW I get it….way to be on your toes friends :-)

YEAH BABY…………..

She has the most gorgeous eyes I tell ya!!!!!!

I had A LOT of favorites…..had a hard time choosing what to put on my blog, BUT this shot….I really really LOVE!!!!!!!

Mannequin time….OH YES…ladies & gentleman we have a candidate.  Some of you may remember my bride & groom from last year that posed as mannequins….it is FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I could NEVER pull off red lipstick, but her…OMGOSH…..I so love her bright red lipstick…it totally looks GREAT on her!!!!!  Miss SASS!!!!

Thank you for such a wonderful time the other night & THANK YOU to your friends for helping out.  I seriously couldn’t of done A LOT of these shots without their help ;-)

Enjoy!!!!

Her hubby wears these kind of glasses so for her bridals she brought a pair along to have some fun with!!!  She looks HOT!!!! ;-)

For their engagements we drove to Bear Lake & had a ball.  Her mother went with us & she is an absolute hoot.  I swear they all had me laughing so hard.  NEVER a dull moment.  I LOVE that!  Love it when people have fun.

So I’m a bad girl…..I haven’t posted this wedding on my blog yet (Insert hiding face here).  To my defense I have been gone for almost a month in Colorado.  I gotta keep my rear home..haha!!!!

Ceremony:  Salt Lake City Temple

Reception:  Church in Spanish Fork

Flowers:  Olsons Garden Shoppe

Cake:  Cakes by Dawna

They were married at the Salt Lake City Temple on May 8th.  Then they had a reception on May 9th at Spanish Fork.  They & their whole family were so wonderful to be around.  It’s so grand when everyone treats the photographer soooo nice & welcomes them in their lives.  THANK YOU!!!!!

Here is their story………….

They met at Alta Apartments in their singles ward.  What is special about ‘C’ is she is the most charitable person.  She always thinks of others before herself.  What is special about ‘B’ is he always communicates very well with ‘C’ & she never doubts how much he loves her because he is always telling her & showing her he does.

The proposal……..

Late on January 8th ‘B’ went into her room & woke ‘C’ up with a kiss.  He took her into the living room where there were rose petals, roses & candles.  He told her all the things he loved about her.  Then got on one knee & proposed.  He then turned on the cd player & it was her favorite song…’somewhere over the rainbow’ & they danced.

Their favorite things to do together are just being with one another.  There is nothing they enjoy more than having down time.

The dancing was lots of fun & everyone had a great time.  I love receptions that have dancing.  Everyone cuts up & starts laughing!!!!

The groom’s sister sang the bride’s favorite song for their first dance….’Somewhere over the rainbow’  She has a beautiful voice.

Kids crack me up.  He is trying to look in my lens to see what’s in there..haha.

The day was absolutely gorgeous.

I always love the father/daughter dances.

I also love it when the bridal party is having tons of fun & laughing.

Found a fire hydrant & took pics of the rings.

This shot cracks me up.  When the bride tossed the bouquet it the groom’s brother caught it & started screaming & jumping up & down like a girl.  hahahahaha…it was hilarious.  Notice all the little girls screaming trying to get it…haha..it was a comical moment!!!

Thank you so much for having me be a part of your beautiful day.

Feel free to leave some comment love :-)
Enjoy!
