I have had the most amazing time working with these 2 throughout the past few months.  From their engagement session that knocked the socks off everyone, to their wedding that was positively gorgeous, now to their incredible Day After Session they chose to do. 

For those of you wondering what a ‘Day After Session’ is….it’s where my couples chose instead to do bridals or groomals BEFORE their wedding…they chose to get dressed back up in their wedding attire AFTER their wedding for some fun, off the wall shots!  It’s less stress & personalities can SHINE!!!!

We went to a couple new locations that I have been eyeballing for quite sometime now.  The one with the red barn I’ve passed by everyday since I’ve lived here (2004) & finally decided with Erin & Ryan they would be the PERFECT couple to use there & then while I was out shooting a senior one evening I found an abandoned house & then the Woman’s Tonic was Erin’s idea…when Ryan said…we brought a gun too I was over the moon excited with joy.  When my wedding couples get into their shoots & want something totally unique to THEM…I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We couldn’t of asked for a better day.  

Erin & Ryan thank you for letting me be innovative with you 2.  You totally know how to work the camera….for REALS!  The camera LOVES you!!!!! 

Let me just say Ryan has the most amazing laugh…he is a hoot to be around!  I love it when he starts laughing!!!!

We had such a great time going around SLC shooting these!  The bride always made me laugh…she is soo darn cute & I just adore her.  Her hubby is just as fabulous.  Total fun & guess what he LOVES orange

We met through our dads.  They both work together.  Cam’s dad portrays Santa every year for our family Christmas party.  Two Christmas’s ago ‘Santa’ told me he had an elf to line me up with & gave me Cam’s number.  We texted & ended up going out on a date.

The PROPOSAL::: Cam proposed around Christmas time.  We had the chocolate Christmas countdown calendar & every night we would open the date & eat the chocolate.  Well the 14th he gave me the calendar & told me to eat that days chocolate.  I opened the date & the ring was inside.

Every year our BFF’s come to visit us.  It’s ALWAYS a great time.  Sady & I took their girls out to some gorgeous fields around our area.  I swear their girls have the best, most sweetest personalities.  When they speak it’s sooo soft & sweet & gentle.  I just eat’m up when they are here!  Love them!!!

It’s finally here.  The anticipated wedding of Erin & Ryan.  I know there have been A LOT of people waiting to see their wedding pics.  They left people absolutely floored because of their engagement session http://oakstreamphotography.com/blog/?p=1889  Their wedding was fabulous & since the bride was in Scotland till clear just a bit before her wedding we didn’t do a bridal session.  So they opted to do a ‘Day After Session’ which we did on Saturday.  There are only 3 pics at the bottom of this post to show of that session cause it was INCREDIBLE it’ll have its own post soon

Their Story………..

My roommate Amber, who was dating Ryan’s roommate Chris, really wanted us to get together.  Ryan & Chris were throwing a pie party, which Amber had carefully set up as our first meeting.  She introduced us & the witty banter ensued.  The next week we had our first date which was  a double date with Chris & Amber. 

The Engagement………

We got engaged on May 30th.  Earlier that week Ryan said we should have Chinese food on Saturday night since we hadn’t had it in so long & we love to cook it together.  That Saturday before dinner Ryan picked up a movie & our favorite Chinese food entrees & met me at my house.  As we finished our meal Ryan grabbed 2 fortune cookies.  I began to open the fortune cookie to read my fortune & inside was my fortune that read “Will you marry me?”  As I looked over at Ryan he dropped to one knee & opened my ring box to reveal a beautiful custom designed ring.

They were married at the Bountiful Temple.

They chose to also have a ring ceremony at the Ogden Golf & Country Club

They are seriously the happiest couple ever!  They are always laughing with one another.  They are bestfriends!  I love this couple!

Ok seriously…Erin’s friend has the most piercing eyes I’ve ever seen!  WOW!  That dark hair & those eyes….STUNNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was her b-day so Erin & Ryan got her a b-day cake & we all sang happy b-day to her!  SOOO sweet!  This is seriously how Erin & Ryan are…they ALWAYS think of OTHERS before themselves.  It’s their special day & yet they stop to reflect their friend & wish her happy b-day!  I love it!

Right before they light the candles for their friends cake Ryan takes a moment to speak to his beautiful bride & tell her how much he loves her.  There were some tears shed!  I love when a man gets emotional….they truley can speak from the heart & it makes me cry!

I thought the cake was gorgeous & I loved the color!

This would be why I LOVE LOVE my 2nd shooter Heather.  While I’m concentrating on my bride/groom setting up shots with them & their bridal party she is always off just being her creative little self.  She is always off being creative, productive & out right SPECTACULAR getting candid shots.  Heather you rock my world darlin!  When I saw this shot in your file of pics I thought…That Heather…she is INCREDIBLE at thinking!!!!!!

Erin’s ring was custom made.  Erin & Ryan found a photo of an antique ring they LOVED & designed Erin’s ring.  They contacted Dave Love to custom make her ring.  He put it together so beautifully!

The next 3 images are from Saturday when we shot their Day After Session!  I seriously can’t even tell you how AWESOME this was.  We went to some new locations that were fantastic & every owner we asked to shoot on their property looked at us like….OK…not sure WHY you want in all this cow/horse poo & dirt while they are so beautiful in their wedding attire, BUT hey…whatev……go for it!  I told the owner of this red barn that I’ve lived in Cache Valley since 04 & the day I started photography I’ve always wanted to shoot at his barn.  I drive by it EVERYDAY & I told him I finally decided to ask to shoot here.  He laughed & said ANYTIME!!!!  I’ve been waiting for the right couple to shoot there & I knew with Ryan & Erin they were THE PERFECT couple to rock the spot!

Then we have this location that Erin said she has DREAMED of having a pic of her taken in her wedding dress.  When Ryan said they even brought a gun I wanted to hug & kiss him…LOL!  When I say they know what they want….THEY KNOW the creativity they want in their pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What would a post be without Ryan laughing hysterically…….LOL!!!!!!!  Oh boy you just wait for these fabu shots!!!!!  This is my most fave new location now!!!!!!
