February marked the 5 year mark that Oakstream Photography has been in business!  I got my biz license in Feb 05 & shot my very first wedding in May 2005.  For those first couple years I practiced & practiced, read & read anything & everything I could get my hands on.  ENDLESS hours spent on the computer.  NEVER going to bed!  Such a crazy time, but I KNEW I wanted to learn as much as possible about photography & having my very own business.

Well 5 years later…through lots & lots of trial/error, the support of my husband, my poor lil boys as my models every 5 seconds, family & friends who supported me in this journey…..here I am! :-)  Still pluggin along!!!

My boys…aren’t they so handsome with those snarls on their faces :-)  They HATED when I wanted to go out & practice on them!!!  The McDonald’s happy meals bribery only lasted a few times & they finally just DESPISED the sessions.  Now to date.  They are big boys now & Dakotah is soon to be 15 & thinks he looks good so he wants his pic taken, Matthew will be 10 in a few weeks & well he humors me, but makes a silly face or closes his eyes!  hahaha!
